BROWNSVILLE
CHURCH OF GOD
Like A Tree Planted By The Water:
Multiethnic Conversations Small Group Study
Cohort #11
We praise and thank God for all who participated in and completed this most recent Cohort. We give God the glory that Brownsville Church of God has completed its 6th year of sponsoring this nine-week journey toward unity for members of our church as well as Christians from other churches in the community. This most recent small group cohort, Cohort #11, commenced on Monday, October 7, 2024 and was completed on Monday, December 2, 2024.
The theme for Multiethnic Conversations Cohort #11 was taken from Psalm 1:1-3:

“Blessed is the man who walks not in the council of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.”
Cohort #11 was facilitated by Sister Amy Hawkins, Sister Nicole Hewitt, and Brother Bob Hewitt. The aim of this small group study again was to help believers process three important elements: God's word, the world's reality with all of its social, economic and political issues, and our responsibility to be Christ’s agents of healing and transformation in a broken and hurting world.
Our dependency is on God. We move forward with great anticipation that this cohort will be a major asset in Brownsville’s continual journey to promote healthy multiethnic church.
